Our type of comparison chart is: an explanation of how and why the ionSpa™ delivers what you
expect in a detox foot bath.
We will tell you why our product is built and assembled in the USA, not why many manufacturers
(even units costing more than twice the price of ours) are made in Asia.
We just don't get involved in individually attacking other manufacturers' equipment.
We will explain why ionSpa™ components all carry one or more of the following:
- UL listed,
- FCC compliance B Part 15,
- RoHS compliant, and
- CE compliant.
AND why:

Spa™ (reliability, quality, and cost effectiveness),
Many manufacturers will spend their time deceptively (both verbally
and through comparison charts) telling you why other manufacturers' products don't work. They
do this despite the fact their equipment would probably not pass the same rigorous tests
the ionSpa™ has past under independent laboratory tests. We will even provide you with the
contact information for that lab further down.
Add Ons That Cost More But Do Nothing
Then there is the wide variety of cost among the various detox foot
baths. Just because another manufacturer's detox foot bath may cost more doesn't necessarily
make it better. We have all found this to be true with many products we have purchased.
A manufacturer may add a spectacular looking feature but that feature adds nothing to
the quality of the foot bath. All the feature(s) adds is cost to you, the consumer, and costs the
manufacturer very little to add on that feature.
Some manufacturers will charge you extra for an extended warranty. Our 5 year warranty is the
longest in this industry and it costs you nothing. Our warranty used to be a 3 years but was
extended to 5 with no price increase of the ionSpa®.
Getting What You Paid For
We have also found the opposite to be true. A product is priced so
low that the manufacturer could never put in the necessary components that will give you the
detoxification you expect from your foot bath.
Innovations for Quality - Not a Higher Price
In April of 2007 the manufacturer of the ionSpa™ upgraded
the programming to improve the consistency and quality time of your foot bath called
"Intelli-Drive. (This Intelli-Drive and what it means for you is explained below.)
Here is our point:
The ion Spa™, with this new feature, did not increase in price. It has always been the
manufacturer's philosophy to produce and sell:
- a detox foot bath at a fair price to the consumer,
- make your footbath a complete unit ready to use out of the box,
- give you the best warranty on the market (5 years) for no extra
charge,
- make your cost to operate very, very inexpensive ($99.00 for a
set of replacement plates giving you approximately 180 foot baths under normal use),
and
- provide the best service possible before, during and long after
the sale is completed.
Actual FCC Approval
 Some manufactures will deceive you by telling you in a comparison chart
that a competitors foot bath does not have FCC approval and theirs does. Any equipment that
meets FCC approval displays a sticker, as ours does.
The FCC takes a dim view of any type of equipment displaying an FCC approval sticker when it
does not meet the FCC compliance nor proves that the equipment meets the current FCC
standards. Our equipment displays an FCC compliant stickers where appropriate on the bottom of
the control module. (See label to the left.)
 We even provide
the documentation from an independent lab that tested the ionSpa™ to make sure it met FCC

You will also notice that our components carry the CE, UL, and FCC compliance where
appropriate).
No Lead Manufacturing Process
The ionSpa™ power supply is manufacturer and assembled to
meet RoHS standards. By definition: the RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of
certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the
placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed
levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and
polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
Even though the above RoHS directive is not enforced yet in the USA we follow them while many
other manufacturers do not. This is in part due to the fact that their foot baths are entirely made
in Asia.
Now - What the ionSpa™ Can Do For You
Why the ionSpa™ will do what you
want at a cost effective price, with a 5 year warranty (that you DO NOT have to pay extra for),
and very low cost for replacement parts (the plates - 3 pairs of plates for $99.00) when you need
them.
The purpose of any detoxification foot bath is to remove the toxins from your body. How this
process is accomplished is what differentiates one foot bath from another. You want to make sure
you are not buying additional bells and whistles (extra displays, readouts) that really have nothing
to do with the detoxification process and in no way enhance the detoxification process. You also
want to know the cost you are paying for your detox foot bath allows the manufacturer to install
the necessary quality and qualifying parts necessary to provide the ionization necessary for a
complete foot bath session.

As mentioned above, the Intelli-Drive feature was incorporated into
the ionSpa™ in April 2007 but there was no price increase.
